Walking into every Maple Street, you should be walking into a culture created around the idea of just that. It was out to make a difference and be a part of the community. There lies a heart beat behind Maple Street before it ever opened its doors, and it wasn’t out to just make a profit. The parking lot is pretty small for everything going up there. It was surprisingly busy for a weekday at a typical non-breakfast, non-lunch time. Since that opening, they have seen such great success and have opened more community stores in the surrounding area. We visited this new Maple Street Biscuit Company in Hamlin for the first time on a Monday at 11 AM. They opened in San Marco and have always focused on southern comfort food with a modern twist. They opened their doors on November 8th, 2012 to a community with open arms and hungry tummies. Maple Street Biscuit Company was started by Scott Moore and Gus Evans in Jacksonville, Florida. The shopping center where they will locate already has a Winn-Dixie and a Stein Mart as it's main tenants. Maple Street Biscuit Company is a local restaurant group who will be opening their 11th location this summer at the Pointe Meadows Shopping Center just off Interstate 295. ![]()
